Thu 14th May 2020 21:30 - Fri 15th May 2020 01:00

As of 15 April 2020, following government advice relating to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we have taken the decision to postpone the Bridge Festival, due to take place from 14-17 May 2020. This decision stems from government advice regarding the closure of venues, and the restrictions on all non-essential social contact and travel, which would affect both our musicians and audiences.

We are incredibly sad not to be able to bring you these exciting performances celebrating European music for strings and the innovative energy that drives the ensembles who create and perform this rich shared musical history. We hope to reschedule the festival for later this year, but for now feel this is an essential decision to support the continued safety of our players, staff and audiences.

All our bookers should receive full information from the RCS box office/TicketWeb in the coming days – please bear with us as we set up this system. Full refunds will be offered, but already purchased tickets will also remain valid for the postponed event.

We will continue to monitor the situation and follow government advice regarding our future festival date. We will update our audiences and stakeholders as quickly and regularly as we can.

Ensemble Resonanz
URBAN STRING

late-night happening
straight from a Hamburg bunker
electronic-classical sound-art clash

Following Prelude in Galvanisers Yard, let us slide together, deeper, into the dark of the night as we unite the velvet shriek of live strings with crafted sets of electronic music.

Nestled under trains and motorways in the cosy squeeze of The Poetry Club, Ensemble Resonanz transports its award-winning club night — and five of its top musicians — from their own club in a Hamburg bunker to late-night Glasgow: an evening of unadulterated entertainment slipping between stroboscope-lit chamber music by Alexander Schubert, a hammering string quartet by Bryce Dessner and experimental rhythmic gloom from Glasgow DJ Sue Zuki.

How much does it cost? You decide! Reserve your ticket in advance, then you can pay what makes you happy as you leave.
