Yardworks Festival returns for 2023.

We’re delighted to announce that Yardworks Festival, the internationally-renowned festival of urban art, will return this year, to take over the SWG3 Galvanizers Yard on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May 2023.

Now in its fifth year, the festival has very much established itself as one of Europe's leading urban art festivals.

Typically a concrete playground, the Galvanizers Yard will once again be transformed into a vibrant canvas of colour and creativity, where some of the biggest urban artists from across the world will be hanging out, including Jay Kaes, .EPOD, Morf, Aches, and KMG.

This year is extra special, as it also marks the official launch of Yardworks Studio. A hand-selected range of guests and artists will join together on Friday 5 May to celebrate the opening of the studio, which will act as an innovative purpose-built space that will provide a home for hundreds of artists, youth and community organisations to create work in.

There's something for everyone at Yardworks – gigantic murals will be created in real-time for you to enjoy as part of an open air art gallery, and there will be a range of street food, drinks, art workshops and activities on offer throughout the weekend to keep you busy. The Warehouse Terrace provides the perfect spot to sit with a pint and some food to take in all the action, with a spacious outdoor seating area in our garden area. There’s also plenty to see along Eastvale Place, which will be closed off to traffic and hosting artists working down the length of the road.

For the kids, Mini Manoeuvres will take place in the Warehouse space, and there will also be face painting and workshops using water-based paint. Inside the Galvanizers, visitors can get involved in some skateboarding sessions on the half-pipe, and marvel at Mia McGregor’s popular Cubes installation, while a range of interactive creative workshops for anyone to join in will be held in the new Yardworks Studio on both Saturday and Sunday.

The festival gives local artists the chance to meet their heroes, and get inspired by what people are doing on the international scene. It also gives everyone else the chance to get out of the house and enjoy an exciting day, filled with unique activities, incredible art, and some great food and drink – what more could you ask for. Oh, and dogs are actively encouraged to be brought along too.
