Yardworks Studio

Coming soon to the Galvanizers Yard: Scotland’s first purpose-built home for street arts, providing space for hundreds of artists to create, experiment and hone their craft, and the soon-to-be bustling epicentre of a new street arts district across Partick, Yorkhill and Govan.
Currently in construction, The Yardworks Studio is the latest addition to our ever-expanding clutch of venues, studios and warehouses, offering a permanent, specially-designed base for artists to create work, and for our extensive community projects to flourish.
Situated in the Galvanizers Yard on the edge of Eastvale Place, the studio will offer a heated workshop complete with a 6 metre high wall for the creation of large-scale artworks, specialist equipment, including extraction and ventilation, and flexible working spaces for artists, youth and community organisations. With a glazed wall at the front, the activities in the building will be seen from the street, giving the many people wandering past on their way to gigs, club nights and more a glimpse at the artworks being created.
Significantly, the Yardworks Studio will act as a catalyst for transforming GRID (Glasgow Riverside Innovation District) into a striking graffiti and street arts district. Linking the communities of Partick, Yorkhill and Govan, the project will see gable ends illuminated with new, large-scale murals, creating an open-air gallery trail and attracting visitors to the area.
The Yardworks Studio will launch to the public at this year's Yardworks Festival, running from Friday 5 - Sunday 7 May 2023.
