Glasgow International seeks Glasgow based projects for 2024 festival

The tenth edition of Glasgow International, Scotland’s biennial festival of contemporary art, will take place from Friday 7 June till Sunday 23 June 2024.

Having previously hosted several exhibitions from the festival in 2018, and 2021, when London artist Paul Maheke performed his solo Taboo Durag performance, SWG3 has close ties with the internationally renowned festival, and we are delighted to be able to share the open call for the festival's 2024 edition.

In 2024, Glasgow International’s programme will place equal emphasis on projects developed by the Glasgow International team, by Glasgow arts organisations, and by individual creative practitioners and groups. The open call for projects is open to contemporary arts organisations and galleries, artist-run spaces and projects, community arts organisations, and independent artists, curators, arts organisers and collectives, and arts publishers based in Glasgow.

As well as this, for the first time, Glasgow International is also open to project proposals requiring resources for longer-term research and development – meaning there's no obligation to present your project at the 2024 festival. Once submitted, proposals will be reviewed by a selection panel made up of four external assessors and the Glasgow International curatorial team.

All of the informational about the open call can be found on Glasgow International Festivals' website, which you can visit here
