Applications are open for SWG3's 2026 Graduate Programme

Founded in 2005, our annual Graduate Programme offers free studio and desk space to graduates, helping them develop their ambitions and talents without financial hindrance for a year after leaving university – and applications are open for 2026.

There are three opportunities available: one Artist Studio, and two desks in the Design Coworking Studio.

The successful applicant for the single Artist Studio must be a 2026 graduate from a Scottish university or college who has studied in fine art subjects, including (but not limited to) painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, film, and video.

For the Design Studio opportunities, applicants must be a 2026 graduate from a Scottish university or college, who has studied a communication design subject, but this can range from graphic design, digital design, art direction, illustration, photography, film-making, or creative development.

The successful Artist Studio applicant will become part of the wider SWG3 community, and be awarded with the following:

- Secure private studio space with 24/7 access
- A solo exhibition or opportunity to curate a show / event
- Discounted tickets to some SWG3 events

Likewise, two successful Design Studio applicants will become part of the wider SWG3 community, and be awarded with the following:

All of this will be awarded free of charge from September 2026 until August 2027.
