Ayanna Witter-Johnson and Fergus McCreadie join together with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for a live performance at SWG3 Galvanizers on Wednesday 22 April 2026.

A born-and-raised Londoner, singer/cellist and composer Ayanna Witter-Johnson delves into the rich interplay of jazz and classical music as she explores the profound influence of jazz on her unique musical voice. This concert celebrates Scottish jazz legends—past and present—who have charted similar innovative paths.

Ayanna teams up with one of the most exciting young jazz pianists on the world stage, Glasgow-based Fergus McCreadie. A Mercury nominee and winner of The Scottish Album of the Year 2022, his unique blend of Jazz and Scottish folk music is inspired by his country’s sublime landscapes.

Together with players from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, this event pays homage to trailblazing Scottish jazz legends while weaving Ayanna’s own distinctive blend of jazz-infused classical artistry.

Half price concession tickets for Under 26s & Students are available.

This is an all-ages event.
