A NEW URBAN ART GALLERY
Opening hours Wednesday - Friday, 12 noon - 6pm
What is street art when it’s not on the street?
What happens to outdoors art when we take it indoors?
Can we take something temporary and make it permanent?
Introducing Yard Life – a new urban arts gallery for the graffiti and street art community.
Brought to you by the team behind the internationally respected Yardworks Festival, Yard Life Gallery will showcase some of the incredible artists who many will have seen at Yardworks. The gallery will host the art of these skilled individuals, with their work now hanging on the walls, gathering the energy and humour and imagination that goes into their outdoor work and presenting it in one place.
Proudly occupying one of SWG3’s archways along Eastvale Place, Yard Life is a space for large-scale prints, tiny objects, scrawled illustrations, aerosol masterpieces, and art of all shapes and forms, all designed and created by artists with street art and graffiti roots.
Opening on Thursday 27 May, our first exhibition will display new works by a constellation of emerging and renowned artists, from sign-makers to illustrators, cartoonists to sculptors.
The gallery will be open Wednesdays to Fridays, 12 noon to 6pm, welcoming people to discover, own and collect the pieces exhibited. No appointments, no formalities, and no prior knowledge needed.
