Paul Maheke is performing in Scotland for the first time, opening Glasgow International 2021 at SWG3 on Thursday 10 June.

Taboo Durag is a new solo performance touching on personal trauma and healing. Maheke’s work takes dance as a focal point. Through a varied and often collaborative body of work comprising performance, installation, sound and video, he considers the potential of the body as an archive in order to examine how memory and identity is formed and constituted.

Maheke’s work is also being produced as a performance to camera which is available to watch later during the festival as part of GI’s Digital Programme.

The live event is taking place with limited audience capacity: to ensure as many people as possible can experience the performance, there is a minimum of two and maximum of four people per booking.
