The New York Times Climate Hub begins

The 9-day event, led by the journalistic powerhouse, kicked off in style today with guests including Greta Thunberg and Al Gore.

The New York Times Climate Hub at SWG3 has begun. The 9-day event kicked off today with panel discussions, workshop sessions, food, drink, ideas and debate, all led by the journalistic powerhouse and delivered with integrity and style.

Amongst a host of special guests, speakers and surprise attendees, Channel 4's Krishnan Guru Murthy moderated the day's central debate (Migration Is A Sound Adaptation and Reparations Strategy), whilst former US vice president Al Gore was the guest speaker alongside Janet Ranganathan at a Think Tank session on data.

The events take place across the full complex, including in The Think Tank - a completely transformed Galvanizers space, currently home to 197 species of trees and plants, courtesy of artist Es Devlin (find out more).
