Montreal-based group The Franklin Electric headline The Poetry Club on Saturday 19 April 2025.
The Franklin Electric, founded by Montreal based singer-songwriter and producer Jon Matte, started off as a collective of friends and musicians accompanying Jon, playing live in different formations in different places around the world. Known for their indie folk sound, raw and introspective emotive lyrics exploring themes of self-discovery, relationships, and the human experience, they were nominated for a Juno for breakthrough group of the year in 2019 and an Adisq in 2021.
