Finnish symphonic metal group Apocalyptica headline SWG3 Galvanizers on Thursday 3 October 2024, where they will perform a selection of Metallica songs in their unique, orchestral style.
The quartet formed in 1993 in Helsinki, Finland, after bonding over a love of metal, and instrumental music. In 1996, their debut effort Plays Metallica by Four Cellos was released. Completely unique to anything being put out by European metal acts at the time, the album consisted of only eight Metallica covers, and despite the bands fears that it wouldn't be well received, it has gone on to receive platinum certification.
This event is strictly 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can attend with a maximum of two Under 16s.

The Galvanizers can be accessed via a small set of stairs, platform lift or ramp. Accessible toilets are available in all ground floor level bars servicing this space.

BY TRAIN + SUBWAY + BUS
The nearest travel hub is Partick Interchange. From there, it’s a 10 minute walk to SWG3 along the Expressway.
BY BIKE
The nearest bike racks can be found on the corner of Kelvinhaugh Street and Dumbarton Road, including NextBike stands. Bikes will not be permitted on site, so please lock up before arriving.
There are a variety of pubs and restaurants situated in the heart of Finnieston, which is a five minute walk from the venue.
SWG3 is located in a residential area. Please respect the neighbours by keeping the noise down when arriving at, and leaving, the venue.
