Graduate Programme

Founded in 2005, our annual Graduate Programme offers free studio space to graduates, helping them develop their ambitions and talents without financial hindrance for a year after leaving university.

One of our flagship creative development initiatives, our annual Graduate Programme has been running since the start. Since 2005, we’ve helped a number of young artists develop their ambitions and talents in that vital first year after graduation by offering a free 12-month residency in our studios.

Our sponsored graduate spaces are split between the Design Studio and the Artist Studios. Running from September to August, applications can be made from any current undergraduate studying within a creative discipline.

Raya Grey

Fine artist and designer Raya Gray graduated from The Glasgow School of Art. Working between fine art and design, with a range of contemporary sources and across multiple types of media Gray’s practice largely riffs on today’s consumer and media culture. Whilst taking a pop approach she acknowledges her consumption of such sources and simultaneously thinks critically about her enjoyment of them.

Sasha Mackay

Currently based in Glasgow, Sasha Mackay is a painter, and a graduate of the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee. Intimate and relatable, her work observes everyday, yet quirky and personal moments, with her paintings often depicting domestic scenes featuring figures, or limbs, in the middle of routine, boredom or breakdown.
