We are very pleased to confirm that SWG3 has introduced a late-night shift allowance for staff with immediate effect.
SWG3's commitment to the Safe Home scheme will see us partner with Network Taxis, contributing up to £10.00 (per taxi) to staff travelling home after a late-night shift finishing anytime after 11pm.
Jonathan Dawson, SWG3's General Manager, said, "In the past few months, our staff count has increased significantly, as has our nighttime events calendar - and with this, we felt it was the right time to review staff safety.
"Nobody should feel vulnerable travelling home from their work place; and no matter the cost, it's our responsibility as employers to make sure our staff are getting home safe at night."
Claire Pedden, Safe Home Co-Ordinator, said, "Better than Zero are delighted SWG3 have joined the Safe Home scheme. This shows their commitment to listen to workers and that they are not afraid to implement changes that put safety above profit. We hope this sets a precident and other venues follow suit and provide paid transport home for late night workers."
