Fly Tip Road Trip: Glasgow

Thu 10 Oct - Fri 01 Nov 2024 Zinc Bar

The opening night of the thought provoking Fly Tip Road Trip exhibition takes place in SWG3 Zinc Bar on Friday 27 September 2024.

Curated by Anna Zairseva, the exhibition is a showcase of the What A Load O’ Rubbish campaign - an artist-led initiative that addresses the growing issues of litter and waste across Scotland. Born out of the environmental impacts observed during the surge of staycations in rural beauty spots in 2021, the campaign has since gained momentum, bringing its poignant yet humorous message to diverse audiences.

Having previously graced unconventional venues such as a café and a climbing center in the Highlands, each time tailoring its artworks to reflect the spirit of the location, the exhibition now makes its urban debut at SWG3, to spotlight the city's own environmental challenges. The exhibition will feature the works of Dunfermline-based artist Alan Grieve and Glasgow-based street artist Outr, both of whom bring unique styles and perspectives to the environmental discourse.

The exhibition runs from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday.
