English electronic DJ Model Man headlines The Poetry Club on Saturday 3 February 2024.
Having grown up surrounded by classical music, Model Man (aka Mark Brandon) spent years learning classical piano – being taught by his mother, who was a piano teacher. Despite becoming obsessed with rave culture in his formative years, his classical training never left him, so he decided to merge the two. The result was Model Man.
In his live performances, Brandon delivers high energy sets that feature sample looping and electronic audio manipulation, alongside his piano playing. The unlikely combination works, and results in a unique sound that is as distinctive as it is memorable.
This event is strictly 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can attend with a maximum of two Under 16s.
