Musician and visual artist Someone headlines The Poetry Club on Saturday 14 October 2023.
Someone is the moniker of Tessa Rose Jackson, a visual artist and musician who looks to fuse both elements together in all of her work. As Someone, she released three studio albums, with her most recent effort Owls releasing in February 2023.
Her music is warm, heartfelt, and emotional, filled with velvety acoustic melodies that wouldn't feel out of place on a Joni Mitchell record. This is a comparison that Jackson is happy with – when discussing the music of Mitchell and the likes, she says it's the sort of music that she gravitates towards when she needs reassurance, and make no mistake about it, there's a reassuring confidence in all of Someone's work.
This event is strictly 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can attend with a maximum of two Under 16s.
