Louisiana based singer-songwriter Odie Leigh headlines The Poetry Club on Sunday 19 November 2023.
Despite growing up in the Deep South surrounded by a rich musical and cultural history, and in an area where the path to musical stardom appears to be rigidly set – Leigh went against the grain. She never played in bars and caught the attention of locals on the circuit, instead, she took to TikTok. A typically millennial method of capturing the attention it may seem, but for a country artist from the Deep South it couldn't be further removed from the norm.
Nevertheless, it worked. Her single Crop Circles went viral, and helped get her music in front of audiences that she would otherwise never been able to reach. Now, she is preparing to embark on a headline solo tour across the US and Europe where she will be hoping to captivate willing audiences.
