Yardworks Festival is back for 2023.
The internationally-renowned festival of urban art, will return this year on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May 2023.
Typically a concrete playground, the Galvanizers Yard will once again be transformed into a vibrant canvas of colour and creativity, where some of the biggest urban artists from across the world, including Jay Kaes, .EPOD, Morf, Aches, and KMG, will be hanging out alongside all the local talent our city is bursting with. Murals will be created in real-time for audiences to enjoy as part of an open air art gallery, and a great selection of street food, drinks, art workshops and activities, including Mia McGregor’s popular Cubes installation, ever-popular baby-disco Mini Manoeuvres and a half-pipe, will be on offer throughout the weekend.
This year is extra special, as it also marks the official launch of Yardworks Studio. A hand-selected range of guests and artists will join together on Friday 5 May to celebrate the opening of the studio, an innovative purpose-built space that will provide a home for hundreds of artists, youth and community organisations to create work in.
You can view a full PDF guide to the weekend here.
Friday 5 May is the opening night for the festival. If you would like to attend, RSVP at [email protected] stating how many people you would like to attend with. There is limited availability for this event.
