Californian rapper Watsky headlines SWG3 Warehouse on Wednesday 7 June 2023.
Watsky releases his self-titled debut album in 2009, but his big breakout never came until 2011, when he uploaded a video titled pale kid raps fast to YouTube, and it went viral. Since his breakthrough, he has gone on to release a further six studio albums.
He has been praised throughout his career for evolving his style, yet managing to successfully remain familiar. He has incorporated elements of rock, jazz and orchestral arrangements in his music, and has a distinct and choppy style of delivery. As well as being a rapper and performer, he has also published an essay collection titled How To Ruin Everything, which entered the top 10 in The New York Times Bestseller List.
