East Kilbride born singer-songwriter Michael Timmons headlines The Poetry Club on Friday 2 June 2023.
Having released his debut album Bone Coloured in 2018 to praise from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, BBC Radio Scotland, The Scotsman and The Skinny, Michael Timmons established himself as one-to-watch in the Scottish music scene. Sophomore album The Lightness of The Dread was released in 2022, and a tour with Scottish heavyweights The Twilight Sad came somewhere in the middle.
Timmons’ music is sparse, atmospheric, and angst-ridden. It is filled with vulnerability, and through his music, he often implores listeners to hold on to the lighter moments in life's dark periods.
This event is strictly 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can attend with a maximum of two Under 16s.
