English singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson headlines The Poetry Club on Friday 1 December 2023.

The Plymouth born songwriter has been writing and performing music for over 25 years, and achieved critical success in Ireland and the USA between 2006 and 2015 – however, his stock really exploded when he became the first artist to be signed to Ed Sheeran's Gingerbread Man Records. Lawson went on to win the prestigious Ivor Novello award for 'Best Song Musically and Lyrically', beating Sheeran to the highly prized award, before supporting him on his tour. This collaborative and supportive energy is one that Lawson has embraced, and it is present throughout his 2019 album Little Weaknesses, which chronicles his earliest years of fatherhood and his newfound creative energy.

This event is strictly 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can attend with a maximum of two Under 16s.
