American singer-songwriter Ethel Cain headlines SWG3 Galvanizers on Tuesday 29 August 2023.
Taking inspiration from Christian music and Gregorian chants, Cain adopted her current moniker in 2019 when she began putting out music on Tumblr and SoundCloud. Tackling themes such as trauma, domestic violence, and abuse in her music has helped fans resonate with her on a deeper level.
As a transexual woman, who was raised in a strict Southern Baptist household, her story is unique and inspiring – and she doesn't shy away from reflecting on her experiences in her music. Her debut album Preacher's Daughter was released to critical acclaim in 2022, with many outlets claiming it was the album of the year.
This event is strictly 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. One adult can attend with a maximum of two Under 16s.
