HOT MESS is a dance party for queer folks and their friends who are looking for an alternative to the mainstream gay scene.
HOT MESS has an eclectic music policy that's rooted in disco, house and techno, but you can expect to hear a few alternative pop classics mixed in to keep things fresh. The music is accompanied by a non-stop psychedelic-erotic video showreel featuring dancing robots making love to the 1980s in space, and suchlike.
The music at HOT MESS is supplied by Simonotron, resident DJ at Edinburgh's Club For Heroes and Devil Disco Club, where he has played alongside kindred spirits such as JD Twitch and Horse Meat Disco. His unique approach to mixing and disregard for genre conformity has won him guest spots at Wasabi Disco, Menergy, Melting Pot, Lock Up Your Daughters and Ultragroove. At HOT MESS Simonotron plays 4 hours of non-stop, vinyl-only dancefloor goodness, and he builds an irresistible groove that takes no prisoners.
