+44 141 Gallery is pleased to present a new group of works by Neil Clements. Outro expands on the artist’s repeated use of motifs taken from high and low culture alike, exploring the porosity of formalist methods of artmaking to other forms of cultural production. The idea of a fixed signature style in abstract painting and the degree to which a formal device is indexed to a single authorial position will be developed futher in a text written by the artist to accompany the show.

In addition , Dr. Dominic Paterson, writer and Art History Lecturer at Glasgow
