American rapper Danny Brown headlines SWG3 Galvanizers on Tuesday 28 May 2024.
The product of a sheltered environment, Brown rebelled in his early teens and turned to petty crime to help financially support his family. Despite always having the ambition to become a rapper, he was often laughed at and told it wasn't possible. However, an eight month stint in jail helped him realise his ambitions, and upon his release, he began performing with Rese'vor Dogs, alongside fellow Detroit-based rappers Chips and Dopehead – despite a lack of mainstream success, it helped kickstart his musical career. Now, he is one of the most sought after performers in the world, and his work offers a unique contrast of reflection and celebration with each performance.

The nearest travel hub is Partick Interchange. From there, it’s a 10 minute walk to SWG3 along the Expressway.
BY BIKE
The nearest bike racks can be found on the corner of Kelvinhaugh Street and Dumbarton Road, including NextBike stands. Bikes will not be permitted on site, so please lock up before arriving.
There are a variety of pubs and restaurants situated in the heart of Finnieston, which is a five minute walk from the venue.
SWG3 is located in a residential area. Please respect the neighbours by keeping the noise down when arriving at, and leaving, the venue.
